Bruce’s January New Year News

Get set it’s going to be a fun-filled adventurous 2022 for all the dogs here at Bruce’s.

We’re kickstarting the year with a bang and in this month’s newsletter we’re sharing the highlights from Bruce’s Winter Wonderland, along with our New Year reunions. We’re unveiling the launch of Bruce’s Training and talking about New Year fur do’s!

If that’s not enough, January is National Walk your Dog Month. Put on your walking boots, pick up the dog lead and before you head out for some extra fresh air check out who we’re barking about and don’t miss our pooch pic of the month!

From smelly Christmas presents and festive enrichment games to visits from Santa Paws, The Grinch and Frosty the Doggy Snowman we all had a ball at Bruce’s Winter Wonderland.

Whilst it was nice to put up our paws, we certainly missed all of our dogs over the FURstive break. 

We were thrilled to see our dogs reunited with their friends back at day care this week. By the looks of all the waggy tails our dogs missed us too!

Did you know it is doggy law to ensure your dog is wearing an ID tag in any public space with their owners name and address engraved?

We wanted to send a New Year reminder to all our doggy owners to check your pooch has an ID tag ready for day care.

January is National Walk your Dog Month and the perfect opportunity for you and your pooch to work off all that festive food and drink you’ve indulged in. 

The extra exercise and fresh air is a great way to celebrate a healthy new year for both you and your dog!

In this issue we’re barking about Lucy, our Bruce’s Expert Doggy Trainer.

Which dog best describes you? A Beagle, I’m friendly, full of energy and ever so bubbly!

What do you love most working here? Seeing how much the dogs and carers love being at Bruce’s. The team go above and beyond to show how much they care and are dedicated to give every dog the best day ever.

What’s your favourite scooby-snack? Without a doubt banana & peanut butter, I can’t go a day without it.

What’s your favourite dog film? The Fox & The Hound. I’m a big lover of hound breeds like harriers, foxhounds and of course beagles!  

What do you like doing outside of work? I enjoy long walks with my beagles Fred & Riley, who are also my biggest supporters coming with me on my marathon training runs or weight lifting competitions.

Congratulations to Dora, the winner of our Bruce’s Winter Wonderland competition! Thank you to all the Bruce’s Pooches who took part. We were very impressed by all the entries and have to say you’re all winners in our eyes. Watch out for more ways to get your paws on prizes in the future!
