Chobham Planning Application

Bruce’s Doggy Day Care – Chobham

We are excited to have submitted a planning application to Surrey Heath Borough Council to open one of our multi award winning doggy day care centres in Chobham. The application is in the early stages of the planning process. We take our role as a community member seriously so we are keen to engage with members of the community and council to discuss our proposal if they wish.

Key information about the proposal:

  • Our dog day cares are like a children’s nursery, but for dogs
  • Specially fitted “doggy buses” will collect and return dogs from the homes of local residents
  • The dogs will be provided with high standards of dog welfare and management to enable more dogs to live a social, happy and fulfilled life
  • Weekdays only, not open at weekends
  • No dogs on site overnight. The majority of dogs will be on site between 08:30 and 15:00
  • The dogs have acres of space to roam and the carers engage with the dogs to keep them stimulated and fulfilled which keeps the dogs calm and happy
  • On average there will be between 90 and 100 dogs on site per day but up to 130 dogs per day in peak periods
  • The centre will generate up to 15 new jobs for local people

More information about the application can be found on the Surrey Heath Borough Council’s website. If you would like to discuss this further please contact Ed Daniell, Head of Property.
