Trekking around Teddington

Among our many four-legged doggy daycare friends, we have lots from the lovely south west borough of London, Teddington.

Home to Teddington Cricket Club, the world’s oldest hockey club Teddington Hockey Club, and the much-loved and well-used Teddington Lock, it’s a thriving hub of activity.

Teddington Lock in particular is great for riverside dog walks and dog-friendly pubs. And just yards from the lock itself is Tide End Cottage pub, tucked away in a row of terraced houses and offering good value everyday pub grub and real ale.

Teddington is also a short walk from two great dog-friendly Royal Parks; Bushy Park and Richmond Park. Just be mindful of the wild deer which roam freely in herds and can see approaching dogs as a threat. Take particular care in September and October which is deer rutting season, and again from May to July when their young are born.

Whatever you decide to do, and whether you live in Teddington or are visiting (with our without dogs!) enjoy this delightful town on the Thames and all it has to offer.
