We offer heated log cabins, paddling pools, agility, sensory zones, and enrichment plans to keep dogs and staff engaged and mentally stimulated.

We have a team of 200 staff, caring for more than 1,000 dogs a day in 8 sites across London and the Home Counties.

Our Founder, Bruce, has shaped industry regulations, sits on the Board of Directors for the Pet Industry Federation and acts as an advisor to the likes of DEFRA, Dogs Trust and the RSPCA. Having secured private equity investment, Bruce’s is poised to take advantage of their lead and expand to create a national group of dog day care nurseries.

As a Carer at Bruce’s you get to spend the day in the field with the dogs ‘Unleashing Happiness’, providing mental and physical stimulation for the dogs, ensuring tAs part of your role as an Accounts Payable Clerk, you will be assisting with a number of tasks including, but not limited to:

Review and processing of purchase invoices ensuring appropriately authorised and coded
Set up of weekly supplier payment schedules for approval and authorisation, ensuring suppliers are paid in conjunction with terms
Processing of accruals and prepayments at the month end
Complete monthly bank reconciliations
Reconcile Company Credit Card statements on a regular basis to Xero transactions
Reconcile Customer invoice payments in Xero to payment provider listings
Adhoc – supporting relevant AP and AR tasks

For this role, you will have:

Solid previous experience in an Accounts Payable/bookkeeping or other finance role with a genuine interest in finance – would suit someone possibly studying at AAT level
Working in a computerised accruals accounting environment
Experience of using Dext and Xero would be a plus

Key Skills and Attributes:

Enthusiastic, with a positive attitude and work ethic and with an ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Problem solving, strong analytical and numerical skills with high attention to detail
Excellent organisational skills – able to plan and prioritise work effectively
Effective communication skills
Working knowledge of spreadsheets, google sheets and databases
Ability to work effectively and flexibly as part of a team as well as independently

Fully flexible role – can be based from home or our Cobham office, 3.5 – 4 days per week, to start ASAP.

Salary is £21 – 24k depending on experience.
