Exceptional, every day
We offer full and half day care, holiday boarding, on-site grooming salons and puppy socialisation. We have a Doggy Bus chauffeur service to and from your home if required.
We recognise that your dog is an individual, so we have created an environment that caters to individual needs. We have a dedicated Puppy Nursery, a ‘Tiny Town’ for smaller dogs, and weekly engagement activities for socialisation and stimulation. We have heated log cabins for your dogs to quietly relax and snooze indoors.
We have strict entrance criteria, and only accept friendly, social dogs, that have at least one fixed day per week. This ensures that we can build a bond with your dog and that your dog will be familiar and friendly with their pals and their carers.
The centre is split up into separate fields to ensure there are never too many dogs in one space, with plenty of constant supervision, love and attention.
There are heated buildings with dog beds and outdoor gazebos for shade, so the dogs can have a snooze when tired or race around to their hearts content.
Half day care
Your dog will spend an action packed morning or afternoon at the Day Care Centre. This gives your dog a chance to enjoy the facilities, socialisation and stimulation at the Day Care Centre, without the expense of full day care.
We offer a convenient doggy bus service to collect and drop you dog in style. Enjoy regular picture updates and pick up and drop off notifications with our handy app!
As it’s important that we have an established relationship with every dog, our boarding service is only available to our Day Care clients who have an ongoing booking of at least 1 half day per week.
We believe every dog should be social, happy and fulfilled. Early socialisation is key to ensuring your puppy gets the best start in life. Our bespoke Nursery offers a safe and stimulating environment for puppies to learn and grow, fully supervised with a warm and cosy indoor area for lunch and nap time.
We enrol puppies from 11 weeks old, once they are fully vaccinated. We only enrol social and regular dogs so we can be sure we sure your puppy is with likeminded and familiar friends.
We offer a range of services that can be used between grooms, and as a preventive care measure. Maintaining a dog’s coat and teeth can be as important as diet and exercise.
The day care centre is a place for friendly, social dogs. We do not attempt to be a training camp or behaviour centre. However, we know that even though our dogs are friendly and social, our clients often want to improve general training and behaviour in the home and at the park.
We have linked up with a few proven, experienced trainers that come recommended from numerous clients and vets. They are familiar with the day care environment, and can assist with one-to-one behaviour consultations or offer classes.
Q: Are you insured?
A: Yes. Bruce’s Doggy Day Care is insured to professionally with specialist animal trade insurers. Our insurance covers public liability; day care, custody, control and transportation of your dog; loss of keys and boarding.
Q: Are you licensed?
A: Yes. Bruce’s Doggy Day Care has obtained all of the licenses that are available to the business, which includes Multiple Dog Walking licenses from Wandsworth Council and planning permission from Elmbridge Council.
Q: Can I meet the team and see the facilities before sending my dog?
A: Yes. We recommend you do this! Come and see the place in action. Meet the team, ask questions, see exactly where your dog will spend their day, who they’ll be with, and what they’ll be doing. We’re confident you will be impressed!
Q: What happens if my dog doesn’t get on with another dog?
A: Bruce’s Doggy Day Care is extremely strict in only accepting social dogs. This ensures all of the dogs are happy in one another’s company, so it is unlikely your dog will not get on with another dog. In fact, the dogs usually form their own social groups with dogs at the Day Care Centre who enjoy similar activities!
Q: Do you only accept well-trained dogs?
A: No. In fact, one of the reasons people choose Bruce’s Doggy Day Care is that our Day Care Centre often helps with training. Many owners have noticed improvement in their dog's behaviour after attending the Day Care Centre. However, we only accept social dogs that have no history of aggression.
Q: Do I need to be home when you collect or drop off my dog?
A: No. Most clients are comfortable sharing a set of keys with Bruce’s Doggy Day Care to enable us to collect and drop off your dog even if you are not home. All staff who have responsibility of client’s keys are CRB checked.
Q: Will my dog be supervised at all times?
A: Yes. Your dog will be under constant supervision by our team of experienced doggy supervisors at the Day Care Centre, and will NEVER be left unattended.
Q: What happens when it rains or is too cold for my dog to be outside?
A: There is a heated building in every field. You dog will have a choice of comfy dog beds if they would like to escape the weather or have a snooze. The dogs have constant access to the building via a big dog flap, so they can use it whenever they like!
Q: I have a puppy or small dog, can they come to the Day Care Centre?
A: Yes. The day care centre is the perfect environment for your puppy to grow and socialise. We accept puppies from as young as 11 weeks old or once they are out of their vaccination period.
Q: Do I need to book in the same days each week?
A: Yes, but you only need to commit to one fixed day each week. It is possible to add additional days as required.
Q: My dog doesn’t like crates or confined spaces, will he cope with travelling to and from the centre?
A: Yes. The crates are vet approved and have more space than necessary for even the bigger breeds. Very rarely do we find that the dogs have any issues with the van or crates, since it has a hugely positive association for them – it means they get to have a fun day running around with all of their friends!
Q: Can my dog stay at the Day Care Centre overnight?
A: No. Dogs cannot stay at the Day Care Centre overnight. If you require this service, we offer a pet sitting or boarding service.
Q: Do you offer day care on the weekends and bank holidays?
A: The Bruce’s Doggy Day Care Centre only operates from Monday-Friday. However, upon request we do offer small group walks on weekends and bank holidays.
We bill monthly. Prices are based on how many regular days per week you book. The minimum is one.
We are flexible. You can add extra days on an adhoc basis or swap your regular days. You can also do a combination of half days and full days to suit your schedule.
There is a 20% discount for an additional dog from the same home. For prices for combinations or multiple dogs, get in touch.
